To qualify for a group rate, you must have at least 5 persons in your group, and schedule your group at least 1 week in
advance.
TIMES - The group rate is for 3 hours of climbing. Groups may schedule anytime during our
regular operating hours. Groups may also be scheduled during non-operational hours with a minimum of 20 (an additional fee applies for
non-operational hours).
DEPOSIT - A $20 deposit is required to reserve a group climb. Deposit is non-refundable
but transferable.
SPECIAL INFORMATION - Groups with children 13 and under need to provide adults to belay
(work the safety ropes) for the climbers. We recommend 1 adult (belayer*) per every 3 - 4 children. Group belay instruction is included
and there is no charge to belay only. Waivers must be signed by all participants, or by parents of
participants under the age of 18. We advise that waivers be picked up or downloaded from our web site prior to the date of your climb,
so that parents can complete the waivers in advance.
*As an option, Reading Rocks can provide belay service with 1 week advance notice at a rate of $10/HR/Belayer.

BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA CLIMBING MERIT BADGE
Reading Rocks offers Climbing Merit Badge through our registered merit badge counselor. Our merit badge counselor
is nationally registered and is listed for Climbing Merit Badge in Hawk Mountain, Chester County, Cradle of Liberty, Minsi Trails,
Pennsylvania Dutch and Del-Mar-VA Councils.

Three 2 hour classes (normally Wednesdays 6 pm to 8 pm). Classes must be scheduled with the merit badge
counselor.

Counselor Fee - No Cost Gym Time - No Cost Harness Rental (if required) - $3/class
Note:
special times, additional boys, etc. could create additional cost.

Dress:
|
Comfortable shirt and pants (long shorts). Flexible Sneakers (rental shoes available for $5/class). Optional -
chalk (also available for $2/class)

Venture Crew 5.14 sponsored by Birdsboro Area Climbers Association uses Reading Rocks as it's Base Camp.
The Mission of Crew 5.14 is to create a worthwhile program that educates youth in the techniques of rock climbing, bouldering,
rappelling, principles of climbing ethics, stewardship of the environment and leadership.
